The Fargo Moorhead community is located in the center of many different Native American Tribes of North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Canada. To showcase this rich Native American Culture we have organized a group of community leaders to plan an annual international contest powwow. The Powwow will bring in Native American dancers and singers from across the U.S. and Canada to compete in our annual event. This year’s FM Crossroads Contest Powwow is scheduled to be held at the Fargo Scheels Arena on June 2-4, 2017.
This event is open to the public. This event will promote cultural awareness within our community and allow many in our community who have never been exposed to contest powwow, the opportunity to see and hear the different songs and styles of dance of the many tribes from our area. We expect to see as many as 1,000 dancers and 5,000 spectators over the 3 day event.
